The Reason for the Season

Instead of doing a gingerbread house this year we made a nativity instead.

It was fun to do something different this year and perfect for our FHE activity and focus a little more on 'the reason for the season'

I love the star that Jeff made, he really is creative and does a great job whenever he does something even in crafting. He can tie perfect bows, make beautiful stars etc. He always does fantastic work. This trait also shines through when he plays in the sandbox or lego, he is so creative. 

I loved the simplicity of our nativity

The kids still had fun eating the treats like they do with the gingerbread house, but it was different this time because each time they ate something we remembered the story and thought about Jesus. I liked that. 

This is going to become another tradition in our Family.
