Dec 20th - Jaycie's school Christmas program

Dec 21 - did the kids handprints on ornaments and Shanelle's handprint and foot print. (picture down below)

Bryce snuggling with his sister. Random picture, so decided to throw it in there.
Dec 22 - Made the  melting snowmen cookies for Jaycie's class Christmas party.  Jaycie said all the kids thought they were super yummy and fun to eat. Got lots of compliments on them. They were a hit!

Dec 23 - Decorated Gingerbread cookies (my great great grandmother's recipe) and went to the Live Nativity and then out to eat for Erin's birthday. The Live Nativity and going out to eat has been a tradition in my family since we were just little.  It's fun that we still do it even though we are all grown and gone from home. I love traditions.

I gave the kids free reign this year and they decorated them by themselves. Of course I still did a few too. Jaycie had fun trying out different decorating tips and seeing what patterns and things they made/did. Super fun to see what they created on their own. We made some gingerbread pirates this year too from the book we read - Gingerbread Pirates. One of the kids favourites this year that we read in our book countdown.

Jaycie's handprint at night

Shanelle's handprint. (that was hard to get! Tried it twice, once when she was awake and then again when she was sleeping. She still squirmed while sleeping but still got it pretty good. Love these ornaments, they will be cherished for years to come.
