| Jaycie decorated a gingerbread man. Bryce started, but sometimes he quits and doesn't do things because he doesn't feel like he can do it/is good enough at it (I hope this is just a passing phase and he gets more confidence, but I'm not too worried because its so random and he is confident in many other areas) so he didn't finish his. |

A fun family evening out on the town!
The weather was good, not freezing cold
The lines weren't long. We came later, not til 7:40 since we went to a family get together beforehand. It worked out really well because the crowds and the long lines were gone and we didn't have to wait long for anything. Some people had to wait an hour and a half to see Santa, for us it was on 10 minutes. We didn't have to wait at all for face painting or cookie decorating. We did miss the hot chocolate and donuts but I won't complain, I'd rather miss that than wait forever! So next year we might do the same again, just go later.
I was glad Jeff was able to come this year with us. The last two years he hasn't been able to come. So it was nice to have him with us.
Even though we rarely had to wait for anything since we started late it was almost 9pm by the time we got back to the van. But the late night was all made worth it when Jaycie says emphatically "That was SO MUCH FUN!" the kids had lots of fun that evening and they were both really good too. No meltdowns (we saw quite a few of those) good listening and obeying (Bryce's ears don't always seem to work all the time.....but this night they did) and just all around good kids that evening. Shanelle was her usual good self - slept like a baby in her car seat - oh wait, I forgot she is one. :)

It's so nice to live in a town that puts on activities like this. We really live in a great community and we love living in Raymond.
