Ornament a Day

Jaycie was sticking the lens cap over Shanelle's eye pretending that she was a pirate. It was cute, but apparently didn't capture it since I cut her out. All these pictures were blurry too. Guess it wasn't my day for picture taking!

Cute grin from Shanelle

Smiles from Jaycie, now if only we could get them both smiling together and me not to take blurry pictures! At least I got Shanelle in this one and didn't cut her out :)

Jaycie's snake named Vipress is here on the counter. I love those pop beads. They are one of the best toys we have bought.  You can make so many things with them from flowers to hula girls to rings and bracelets and who knew, even snakes. They also teach patterns and good for oh whats the word? - little hand movements, whatever you call that. I can't think right now. Yikes I can't focus, I can't think of words and I am cutting people out of pictures.

We got a kit from Costco for each of the kids. There are 24 ornaments. Paint one each day as a countdown to Christmas. Jaycie has loved it. Bryce likes it too. Jaycie paints hers ever so carefully creatively, and then there is Bryce who has painted every one of his green, completely all green. He makes me smile. Well at least he added glitter to a few of them, but guess what, he choose green glitter glue. His favourite colour is green. Who would've guessed?

Another way to countdown to Christmas
Painting an ornament everyday
We have quite a few this year - the number blocks, the books, painting an ornament, a wall hanging with little pockets with numbers that we move the snowman each day to countdown, doing a Christmas craft or activity each day (we missed a few days on this because we were busy doing other things or not enough time)
I love CHristmas
I love the anticipation
I love all the things associated with Christmas - the lights, the tree, the stories, the music, festivities and parties - I love it all!
But most of all I love how it brings you back to what's really important, Our Saviour and his birth and life.
