My Right Hand Man

Now that Jaycie is gone at school, Bryce has become my right hand man. I try to include him in all I do because he truly just loves to help. Whether I’m doing the dishes, I let him right up there beside me to rinse the dishes for me. Bryce has a fond love of water. One of his favourite pastimes is to get some funnels and cups and straws and play at the sink. Coloring the water makes it extra fun too. (its our version of a water table) Whenever we go to stay and play he always plays at the water table there. 

Here we are making bread. All the pouring and dumping, he couldn’t be happier. It’s nice that he is old enough now that I don’t have to help him hold onto the measuring cup either (we’ve had a few times in the past where sometimes it doesn’t all go in if I don’t help him and with baking that can be a big deal, but accidents happen, but like I said, he’s big enough now that I don’t have to worry about that)

When we do laundry he loves to dump it all into a big pile and jump in it, jump over it, burry himself in it, pretend to be a ghost, pretend to be whatever animal (usually its a kitty) and go to sleep in the bed of laundry. We usually do it in our bedroom and when most of the laundry is put away and done he still has fun playing in our bed in the sheets and pillows. 

He helps me clean the bathrooms because he just loves to spray! So he sprays and I wipe. We make a good team. He likes to use the scrub brush to clean the toilet after I put in the cleaner in and then watch it all flush down when its clean. 

He likes to vacuum and loves to play with the vacuum letting it suck on his shirt or hand. He starts laughing hysterically every time and over and over again. Bryce has really brought the fun into cleaning and showed me how enjoyable it can be. 

I have a schedule I stick to most of the time. Bathrooms on Monday, Floors on Tuesday, Laundry Wednesday, Vacuuming Thursday, Basement Friday, Saturday whatever I missed during the week because some days these things don’t get done. 

I surely love my right hand man!!
