Enjoying the Everyday Moments

He just wanted to lay beside her and then had his froggy tell her stories. Shanelle pulling one of her faces again.

How I love these two precious children and forever grateful they are here, in our family. (too bad Jaycie is gone all day in school, love her too!) Such a big responsibility to raise them, but oh what joy it brings each and every moment, so much joy!

Bryce was being the cutest boy ever. He got all his foam letters and made a trail of them in his room and then took his box and picked them up sliding them into the secret hole on the side. The box was their home and he was picking them up so they could go to bed in their box house. He was having so much fun doing it and it was a good letter review too. He was seriously being SO cute, talking to his letters, making them into people.

Then he was dropping them into the funnel shoot as well as making noises and faces with this funnel. It was my mom’s canning funnel that she gave me that I now use to can and which Bryce plays with the rest of the year when we aren’t canning. He loves to drop things through it, the wide mouth is perfect for that.

So far, having an extra child hasn’t been hard. I sit and hold Shanelle while Bryce plays, interacting and playing along with Bryce but still letting him lead. We are all together, spending time together all day and its the best of both worlds. This is the story of our life, cleaning and other obligations have been put aside and I just am enjoying this newborn stage and playing with Bryce.
Bryce has adjusted really well other than I constantly have to watch him and tell him to be gentle with her.
I love the pictures of Bryce in the box. Once again, shows how much fun a box can be. Started out as his car that he was racing in, then making funny faces for me, then he turned it into his house for his letters and the fun just kept on going. We spent hours and hours in his room just playing all while holding Shanelle. We would play together and then he would stop and hold Shanelle, and then back to playing for a while again and then want to hold her again. I love all his faces. He is such a silly boy and loves to be funny and silly and have people laugh or do things to get a reaction. Such fun to be with him. Love these moments and time we have together. Moments that I will cherish forever.
I love the pictures of Bryce and Shanelle together. I love that I captured the candid moments of it all. Not posed or staged.
Enjoying the moments, enjoying the journey.
