FHE Halloween

Making Mummies (hot dogs wrapped in biscuit dough) A tradition for dinner when we carve pumpkins for FHE

The kids did it completely on their own this year. They definitely were picture perfect, but they tasted great and the kids had fun wrapping them all!

Bryce was a man and used his hands :)

And then he decided that a spoon might be better

Another fun year of pumpkin carving. I loved that Jaycie drew hers all by herself and it was her idea to add some hair too. I love how creative she is. Bryce wanted a scary pumpkin so Jeff did just that. I was impressed, Jeff drew it on freehand without a pattern too. Pretty good I'd say.

I love having traditions and look forward to them. Our pumpkin carving is to do it for FHE the week before Halloween, and eat mummies. I made the dough this year instead of using crescent rolls and they were way better. I love homemade biscuits. Still mastering how to make those big fluffy biscuits though. It's one of those things that I don't make often enough to practice and get it right. Maybe this year if I make lots of soup?
