Trying to catch the helicopter

It was one of those days where I took lots of pictures of the things we did. Playing outside, making fun treats, Jeff flying his helicopter and the kids all smiles and laughs trying to catch it, but it always going just out of reach. What a dad! :)  Each day we do fun things, its just that some days I'm in the mood for capturing the moment with a photo and other days I just enjoy the moment without taking pictures or just recording it in my journal like some of my entry from yesterday... 

"Bryce was being cute playing with his little tractors and dump truck (the tiny ones from the dollar store) hooking them into a train and then pulling them with his little people tractor and filling it up with money from his piggy bank. He has become quite creative lately and playing so much more independently. It’s been nice since i can just watch him play, sometimes participating but always letting him lead while still holding Shanelle. It’s the best of both worlds. Holding her (seriously, rarely put her down - don’t want to regret not holding her enough, they grow so fast and this newborn stage doesn’t last long) and being able to watch Bryce play and have fun and be creative and using his imagination. How fun it is to be at home playing and watching the kids. Love it."

Some days I would've taken a picture of him playing with his trucks, but this day I didn't. People say I take a lot of pictures and I do, but in reality I could take so many more because each day there are tons of those activities  that we do, fun food, games, crafts or just moments that make you smile that would be fun to capture with a photo to always remember that moment. But every moment of our life doesn't have to be recorded or captured nor is it possible. I just enjoy it and even though I won't remember the specifics theres a quote that says Your children won't remember what you did, but they will remember how you made them feel and so I hope that we will remember the good feelings we had through all our fun times without recording every moment.
