St. Pat's Weekend

Made the kids pot of gold/rainbow breakfast. Turned out super cute and the kids LOVED it.
For lunch they had leprechaun faces. This one was fun too because they helped through the whole thing to create their own.

See? Told you they made their own. Bryce wanted a crazy messy beard, so he made his like that. So fun!

Enjoying his leprechaun hat. YUM

So this one ended up right in the middle. This was Sunday afternoon....Jaycie and Madi decorating cupcakes at grandma's.  It's fun to live so close to family that we can stop and visit for a sunday afternoon.

Jeff with his hat that Jaycie decorated for him. Did swirly on the bottom and a D on the top for Dad.
Jaycie's with her initials JL

In their fort they made on Bryce's bed. They had fun playing together all morning.  Love hearing/seeing them play so well together.

Our hats we made. Got the idea from here Don't look quite as fancy as theirs, although I thought Jaycie did a great job decorating them....either way they sure tasted good.

Sitting in her highchair for the first time, getting ready to try some food!

Bryce feeding Shanelle. The kids were so excited to feed her since they have wanted to since she was born and haven't got the chance. Decided it was time to see if she would take a bottle to see if we could leave her with a babysitter. I want to be able to go to the temple with Jeff not just switch off.

She took it easily and had no problems. Hooray.

Jaycie has been the one most awaiting this moment. She has been wanting to feed Shanelle for a LONG time. I love how Shanelle is holding her bottle. I love the tenderness of this photo. Jaycie sure loves and adores her little sister. It wasn't staged either, I just caught her kissing her.

It was a lovely weekend with a lot of St. Pat's fun
We had some foodie fun. Some other quick little things we did were

Cheese toast in the shape of shamrocks,
Layered jello to make a rainbow as seen here
Necklaces made of shamrocks and coloured pasta (forgot to post the pics here since we had to finish them for FHE because the pasta had to dry overnight after we coloured it) On each shamrock we wrote things why we felt we were 'lucky' aka blessed.
The kids had lucky charms for breakfast on Sunday morning. Oh how they love that cereal!
The leprechauns came to visit by colouring the milk green. So the kids had green milk with their lucky charms. Ended up with two jugs opened of milk since Jeff refused to drink the milk once it was green :)
Played St. Patricks day bingo with rainbow skittles. I love playing games together!

It was a weekend of firsts - first time drinking from a bottle, first time eating food
Shanelle didn't really like the rice cereal. She has since tried it and still doesn't really care for rice cereal but likes oat and mixed cereal. I thought she would just love eating food since she has been trying to grab and eat it for a couple of weeks now, but doesn't really love it. She pulls the funniest faces! I will talk more about that later.

Both kids were thrilled to be able to feed their sister a bottle. Highlight of their week for sure. It was cute watching them feed her.

It was a great weekend spent at home together as a family with the added fun of St. Patrick's day activities.

Oh fun! We don't make St. Patricks day a big deal at all here in Australia. Looks like you guys made some yummy food :)
