Apple of My Eye

We made Jeff breakfast in bed. The kids loved helping and were so excited to do this for their daddy!

Jaycie put this on our door for his birthday. Spelled out his name with streamers. For the kids birthdays I always put balloons and streamers in their room so when they wake up in the morning of their birthday. So here is Jaycie's version.

Jeff wants a laptop, so I got him one for his birthday :)

Made apple shaped sugar cookies as thank you's and then other things to go with the rest of the party theme "apple of my eye" for Jeff's 30th

For the 30 sucks I had the kids tell me 30 reasons why they love their dad and then we wrote them on little flags and attached them to the suckers.

Ha, just thought this one was funny cause it looks like Shanelle has her finger up Jaycie's nose., but really doesn't. Made me laugh, so I thought I'd share because we all need to laugh more.

Lindsey drew this for Jeff when she was younger, mom found it and so Lindsey took it and made it into a birthday card for Jeff.  Cool eh? Teenage Mutant Ninga Turtles. Sweet

Reading more sweet cards, Grandma Dorothy always makes the fancy cards with pictures, clever rhyming poems and her signature on the back. Definitely keepers.

My man turned 30 this year. 

He loves all things Apple so I thought the theme of "Apple of my Eye" was perfect for him. More importantly we love him so much that he truly is the "apple of our eye."

Here are 30 reasons why......

1. He is funny and witty. He makes me laugh everyday with his comments and things he says. Oh how I love him and that me makes me laugh. When people really get to know Jeff they are always surprised and say "I didn't know Jeff was so funny! He is hilarious!" because Jeff is the quiet type/not super social, so most people don't know the 'real' Jeff.

2. He is honest. There are few qualities as important as this one.

3. He is willing to serve and help out whoever and whenever he can. Someone moving? He's there every time. 

4. He takes his responsibilities seriously and always puts forth his best effort.

5. Loves to tickle so there's always laughter in our home.

6. Loves to be home. He a real home body which is nice that he likes to just be home with us. In this busy world how grateful I am that we gets lots of family time together.

7. Jeff is great at sharing knowledge with other especially the kids. He is always sharing little tid bits of info with the kids and why this works or how something was made. It's a bond that he shares with the kids.

8. Jeff loves music. He especially likes classical and the oldies. He listens to it everyday at work, turns it on when he comes home a lot of the time or will play it on his iPhone and lay shanelle on the bed and rock out to music and dance. It's so cute and fun to watch them. (Melts my heart too and makes my heart go pitter patter for him) 

9. He's dependable. If he says he's going to do something you can count on him to do it.

10. He loves me and I know it!

11. He likes to watch movies over and over again. I'm the type that unless a show is really good I only watch it once. 

12. He plays with the kids and enjoys wrestling with them. He's a great dad

13. He will eat anything I cook him even if he's not a fan, (like Salmon) nor does he complain (like if we have pasta) You would never know that he doesn't like it unless I ask.

14. He treats everyone with kindness and respect and has the utmost respect for women.

15. I come first in his life and I know that whether your talking about time together or our relationship.

16. He's thoughtful and thinks about others and their feelings and easily spots a need and fills it.

17. He likes to hang onto things and keep them for memories sake.

18. He's incredibly smart with all things computers. And he is always willing to help others with their computer troubles too.

19. He is funny, did I mention that? I just love that about him, so I think it deserves mentioning twice.

20. Jeff is good at doing most anything. If he doesn't know how to do it, he looks it up and finds out how or asks his smart father :) Maybe that's where he gets it from.

21. He's got a strong testimony of the gospel and lives it.

22. He is my confident and I can tell him anything to talk to him about anything.

23. I know he will stand by me and our family no matter what.

24. He is positive

25. He works hard everyday at work to support us and for that we are very grateful. In fact, we love him for it.

26. He cherishes his relationships and nurtures them

27. He is a good drive and keeps us safe. Might sound like a weird thing to love him for, but if you grew up not feeling safe in vehicles when certain people were driving you would know that its a blessing and something we love and appreciate about Jeff.

28. He jokes around a lot and makes us smiles

29. He's good at telling stories and explaining himself.

I'm so lucky to have Jeff as my hubby. I got the best of the best and we love him SO very much. I'm excited to spend the next 30 years and more with him!
