Magical Moments

The two best of friends!!!!!

There are so many Magical moments I experience each and everyday, most of them unrecorded, or not captured by photos. But here are a few I remember as of late...

Doing our nails and having some special girl time the three of us girls - Me, Jaycie and Shanelle. We shut the bathroom door and so its just us. Bryce and dad do their own thing.

Rocking and holding shanelle. Especially when she is up on my chest all snuggled in. Oh how I love those moments when its quiet (mostly, the closed door shuts out most of the noise) and I can just enjoy rocking my baby.

Visiting with good neighbours, young and old. We have a fabulous street!

Jeff and Shanelle together, her squealing when she's with him. She loves, loves, loves her dad and he loves her back just as much!

Playing soccer in the backyard with the kids. They love to get on soccer socks, shin guards and soccer shoes even though we are just playing in the backyard for fun. I love seeing them get into it full gear and all.

Bryce riding his new bike. He has finally decided that he can do it. He was too scared at first since it's a bigger bike and he can just barely touch on his tippy toes with the seat all the way down. I'll admit it's a little big for him but on the flip side his other bike is too small for him. But he's mastered it now and zooms around. Man he goes fast, I even have a hard time keeping up with him.

Going skating together. Bryce made some huge improvements this year from not knowing how to skate to skating on his own. Jaycie is amazing at it and is so brave to try new things and moves on the ice. It's a fun activity to do together.

The gorgeous weather we have had!! wow, we never even got winter and I can't say I'm complaining! We have taken advantage of our nice weather that's for sure.

Going on walks as a family. I just love doing this together, either walking or biking together. It's my ultimate favourite thing to do as a family outside.

We were at Costco one friday after swimming at Nicholas Sheran and we decided to get food court pizza to take home for Fri Night pizza n movie night instead of making one and when I went to pick it up on our way out after shopping they didn't have one made for us. I had ordered it before we went shopping and they had forgot to make it. So even though we had to wait they gave us free hot fudge sundae to eat while we waited. It was worth the wait :)

Speaking of swimming, we have gone swimming quite a bit these last couple of months. The kids just LOVE it so much. Went the first time with grandma, not sure if I could do it on my own and then after that had enough confidence to go on my own and its been just great. Jaycie and Bryce go in their own change room beside me and get themselves dressed while Shanelle and I get dressed and then were ready to go. Horray. Success.

Registered Bryce for preschool next fall. He is really excited and makes such a difference too that he is familiar with the school and that its where his sister has gone.

We were having lunch a couple of weeks back and I put a big sliced pickle on it (the ones you get from Costco) and he was flying it around because it made it look like the sandwich had airplane wings. It was so darn cute. One of those memories I want to remember forever.

Shanelle loves getting airplane rides from me. I lay on my back and stick her on my legs and fly her all around. She could do it for hours. She just LOVES it, squeals and huge smiles and chatters. Drool usually comes is abundance too.

Reading the friend magazine with the kids. I love the stories in there, the gospel lessons/doctrines that they learn and the good feeling that it brings. We read it each morning during breakfast time (I like sending Jaycie off with some good stories and values before she goes to school) and during reading time aka feeding Shanelle time.

Being able to text Jeff during the day. So nice/fun/funny/convenient.

Jaycie has been excelling at the piano and has taken off. She will just sit down and play songs and is really becoming musical with it. I love hearing her play and love that she is truly enjoying it.

We went over to my mom's two weekends ago and helped her clean up her yard. It was good to work together as a family and to help my mom out especially since this year she has a bad knee.

I love making our own pizza's every friday night and making our own creations or flavour combinations. It's my favourite tradition we have started.

Bryce saying "You know mom, when your sick its a good thing to eat treats" as he pretends to sniffle and be sick.

Sitting and playing the piano with Shanelle on my lap and hearing our clothes being washed in the background. How lucky we are to have so many modern conveniences these days - dishwashers, vacumnms, washing machines, etc. That do the work for us while we can enjoy doing things like playing the piano. In the 'olden days' it would take them all day to do the laundry. I feel so blessed to have these things. It was just one of those epinany/thankful moments I had while sitting and playing the piano while holding my sweet babe.
