I love to see the Temple

It was a perfect Family Day holiday on Monday

We had a relaxing early morning and then an impromptu decision to go to the Temple.
So we all got dressed and went to the temple. The kids stayed with Jeff while I went in and did initiatory and then I came out and switched with Jeff and he went in while I stayed with the kids.
While waiting I learned that there was a kids carnival at the Remmington Carriage Center so we popped on over there and the Bryce had a blast doing all the little activities and games. Shanelle slept and Jaycie watched. She didn't want to do any of the games. Too bad. So we all had lots of fun while we waited for Jeff. Both the kids got to pick a prize at the end.
Then we all went and had lunch at Dairy Queen.
It was a fabulous day filled with time together as a family and going to the temple as a family. It was nice for the kids to actually see us going to the temple and even though they couldn't' come inside with us. We enjoyed walking around the temple grounds and letting the kids see how beautiful it is and how we hope that they too will go there when they are old enough. Jaycie is half way :)
It was a fantastic way to spend our Family Day. One of our best days yet this year!

On another note, I haven't wanted to leave Shanelle yet. Crazy I know. This is our 3rd kid and you think I would be okay with leaving her, but I just don't want to. After this day I left her with grandma while I went and played for a funeral for just over an hour and that was hard. She slept the majority of the time while I was gone. I just love having Shanelle with us all the time. I can't enough of her and would miss her too much. But I need to come with terms of leaving her for a little while so Jeff and I can go to the temple together at the same time. So we will see when I feel ready for that.....until then we will just keep on doing initiatory.

What a great family day idea! I so wish I had gone to the temple that day considering it was open!
I have decided that it actually gets harder with each kid to leave them. It's probably because you know how fast it goes and you don't want to miss a minute!
I'm glad I saw you today! I am serious when I say that we need to do something as families so lets make that happen!
