We did some fun crafts leading up to Valentine's day. Our craft counter was constantly covered with hearts, red and pink glitter, pipe cleaners and other stuff as we did lots of random heart crafts.
We used our mailbox again this year and wrote notes of love
Made cookies
Gave and received valentines. Jaycie did gummy lifesavers valentines. They were cute. It was fun to see her bring her big pocket home from school filled with valentines. I remember those days. Although ours were all just a simple card. Not so now.
Bryce absolutely loved giving and receiving valentines for Joy school and parent preschool. He would dump them out of his decorated brown bag and look through them and eat one that came with a chocolate or whatever then put them back and then the next day dump them again, looking at them and admiring them and get excited all over again. It was like a new discovery each time. Sweet memories to remember.
Our Valentine's Day was simple yet fun. We had a fun lunch. We had a healthy valentines dinner. wink* It was delicious. I love crepes and the red velvet was a yummy twist. The link is above. Next year I am going to start the tradition of a candle light dinner with the kids. Heard of this and thought it would be a fun one to start.
Jeff and I went out on a date the weekend previous. It's nice that I feel loved from Jeff each and every day. But I did decide that I want to do more fun creative things for Jeff and there are so many ideas online that I want to do for Jeff to show love and romance etc., so that's my new goal for this year. To do fun little things throughout the rest of the year. Now I just need to plan them....
Sure do love my Jeffy and kids!
