LISTEN
Thats my word/theme for this year.
Listen to my kids
Listen to my husband (I've learned over the years how smart he truly is in all things)
Listen to their words
Listen to the words coming out of my mouth
Listen to the promptings of the spirit and seek personal revelation (I have come to learn and appreciate how powerful personal revelation can be what a gift it is this past year as I have prayed and seeked for it. Ask and ye shall receive)
Have more eye contact
Lately instead of listening my mind wanders and thinks of a million other things when what I should be doing is listening. The same goes with reading. When I read I don't take in near what I should. I skim too much, my mind is elsewhere.
Listening will bring clarity
With clarity comes focus. And when focusing on the right things it brings happiness.
And since no post is complete without pictures.......

Bryce has become like his sister. He loves to be jammies. Lately he has declared almost everyday 'Jammy Day!" "Mom, its a pajamma day today." or "We're having a pajamma party today"
I'll admit it, I don't like it. I'm one who likes to be dressed for the day and you'll rarely see me in jammy pants or "comfy clothes". But I've learned to like it and let my kids stay in jammies or change into them when they want because hey, they like to be comfy (although I'm just as comfy in my jeans and shirt, and would actually rather be wearing them) and does it really matter what they wear? Nope.
Have I mentioned lately how much I love staying at home and how much fun we have each day playing.
Life is truly wonderful!
