Ten on Tuesday

1. Wish I had better lighting in my house. When I have good lighting, it makes all the difference in pictures.

I also wish I was a better photographer too.

Emjoying his ice cream. We made gingerbread ice cream and I have to agree it is DELISH! I know Christmas is over but who says you can't have it anytime of the year. 

2. Shanelle just keeps on getting cuter and cuter all the time. She is constantly smiling and chattering/babbling and giggles lots. We all just love her so much!

Being silly while eating his ice cream. I love how he makes me laugh each and every day. Bryce is such a joy with all the funny things he says and does.

3. We have a fantastic ward. I really love the people in it. So many people willing to help and serve without being asked. Jeff was home with Bryce last Sunday and so it was just me and the girls. We were getting our coats on at home time when one of the men offered to start my van for me to warm it up and carry my bags to the car. How thoughtful. Sometimes I feel stupid for driving since we only live a block away but I can't carry the car seat with my heels that far (Jeff has meetings before church) and don't want to bring the stroller because well then where do you put it and I don't want it stollen. 

Jaycie also has the most thoughtful primary teacher. She doesn't teach Jaycie anymore but is very fond of her and still gives her little gifts and treats. She just stopped by today actually. 

I could give other examples but this number 3 is getting long, but we truly have a great ward with wonderful people in it.

4. I love having a garage to park in! Can I say it again? I LOVE having a garage to park in. This latest cold snap reaffirmed my love.

5. It's so much nicer to blog in the present and not always be weeks behind. I quite enjoy it and hope I can keep it up!

6. Jeff went on scout camp with the Priest's this weekend, he is YM president. I'm so glad that it warmed up and wasn't freezing. Missed him even though he was only gone for one night.

 7. I love chatting with Jaycie at bedtime. We've had some really good conversations lately. It's a time where we really bond and she tells me all sorts of things from her feelings to what happened to what she thinks and funny things too. I hope we always stay close as a mother/daughter. I didn't have a close relationship with my mom growing up so its something I really want to have with my daughters.

 8. I liked that we finally got some snow. The kids and I have had fun playing in it. Tabogging, snowmen making. Jeff shovelled the driveway for me too. So it really has been just playing in the snow and no work! Yeah.

 9. Jeff and I have been going on more dates so far this year. Love the kids but love spending time with just Jeff and I (and Shanelle - she is such a good baby and we love bringing her on dates with us)

Jaycie, Shanelle and I had a swim party in the tub together. Jaycie wanted Shanelle to wear her bathing suit. It probably should've been the other way around, Jaycie and I wear our suit while Shanelle stayed in her birthday suit. But I have to say she sure looks cute in her new swim suit. Love the ruffles! (I got out of the tub to take the picture, didn't need any of me in those thanks!)

10. Bryce is beyond excited for his birthday on Friday and his party. He has been looking at cakes on the internet, telling everyone he sees that its his birthday and he's turning 4, helping me plan the party. I hope I don't disappoint him since I'm not doing quite as much as I have done previous years. I can't wait to celebrate his birthday though because when he's excited so am I. As a parent it's so fun to see your kids get excited over things.
