We weren't sure Shanelle would ever come, if we would end up having any more kids, but she did and her love her so. When you have to wait for something you appreciate it that much more I think. 

We are so grateful to have another child to love.

Shanelle - we were driving home from the Temple and I was looking at baby names on my iPhone and found the name Chanele and randomly read it to Jeff not thinking he would actually like it and I wasn't sure I liked it either since I had never heard of it before I was just throwing out names and he said, yeah, I like that one. So we put it on the list and it quickly became our favourite

My mom made her blessing dress. She is such a great seamstress. She sews amazingly well. I made the rosettes on the front but other than that she did the rest. I just love how it turned out. The pearly/lace trim on the dress and her headband was left over from my mom's wedding dress. (my mom made her own wedding dress and has made all 3 of her daughter's wedding dresses too)

It was a nice day from start to finish. We got an extra hour before church to relax and enjoy since it was day light savings time. Jaycie slept over at Grandma's the night before so it was just the 4 of us in the morning. We didn't sleep in but we enjoyed the extra hour just laying in bed with Shanelle and Bryce oohing over and chatting with Shanelle. All her cute sounds and voices she makes. 

Then we had church. Jeff gave her a nice blessing. How grateful I am that Jeff is worthy to have the priesthood. Same thing as I said above, when you have to wait for something or don't have something you appreciate it more. Growing up we didn't have the priesthood in our home (it was just my mom and my sisters) and now that I do have it in our own little family I am grateful for it and appreciate it. I am grateful to be married to a man who holds and honours his priesthood. So grateful.

After church we had a family dinner/gathering. We love that we live so close to all our family. Many don't have that luxury and we feel so blessed to have family close. It's the one thing that is keeping us from moving to Arizona. jks :)

I'll say it again, We feel so blessed to have this little girl in our family. There are many out there that wish and pray and plead for this blessing, to have children, and so we feel so ever grateful and don't want to ever take it for granted. We love her so very much!
