Jaycie is so cute with Shanelle. It's too bad that she is gone to school all day everyday week day. Jaycie likes to read to Shanelle and when she found these baby books that I had recently got out of storage she was so excited. "Mom these are perfect for Shanelle!" So she went ahead and read them to her. It was so cute, Jaycie was pointing out all the different items and shapes and colours to her, and Shanelle listened intently the whole time. She really does listen and focus on things when you talk to her. She's going to be a smartie :)
I love watching Jaycie read to Shanelle. She always comes with me to put Jaycie to bed each night which includes us reading a book (for the last couple of months it's been little house on the prairie) and then Jaycie reading her own book. So Shanelle gets to hear both of us read and me sing a song at the end. Then we always talk a little about the day and what her favourite thing was and some nights its short and sweet and other night I find out a lot about this or that or what certain thing happened at school, or what she thinks about. It's the best time of the night and I always learn a lot. It's our bonding time. I love our time together at bedtime and our little routine.
