Easter 2012 Part 1

At the start of glow in the dark easter egg hunt (put glow sticks in plastic eggs and hid them around the yard) Super duper fun! Nice creative twist to egg hunt. - (Pintrest idea)

He liked that the bee was glowing

Saturday morning in their jammies and easter baskets. We do our easter baskets on Saturday morning as to focus on the real reason for Easter on Sunday. I took orange yard and stringed it from their bedrooms all around the main floor to lead them to their easter baskets. It was a fun way to find them, the kids liked it a lot.

Smiles :) only did a few chocolate eggs in their baskets this year (trying to cut down on all the sweets) and filled it with a few fun trinkets instead. A book for them to share, a pencil each with easter egg sticky pad, headband for Jaycie and little dinosaurs for Bryce. Simple.

Laughing over the flubber. those sounds are hilarious and never get old (for them anyways :) I like it too cause I like hearing them laugh, especially laughing together.

Reading books together saturday morning. Jaycie is an amazing reader and I love having her read to Bryce or Shanelle. It's sweet.

Jaycie's little creation she did with her toys. Strawberry shortcake, hello kitty umbrella, baby cradle pillow, and little hamster things all together. Cute! Jaycie and I  had fun playing with these for a while.

Shanelle rockin her sunnies! (They used to be Jaycie's)

Bryce using his tractor and dump truck to load up his golden eggs. Love these moments. Favourite memories.

We went to the town easter egg hunt. We missed it though. We got there 4 minutes after it started (biking over there took longer than I thought) and all the eggs were gone. Guess next time we will go early, or not at all. On the way home Bryce crashed his bike and smashed his basket. So it was a bad experience all around :(

Jaycie was a little disappointed....but luckily she has good friends who shared a few of their with her.
We had fabulous Easter with many fun activities. Here are a few more things we did to celebrate easter. Not my photos, because its hard to take pics of "Everything'  and hard sometimes with food items. But I want to remember them so here are what we did.

We made resurrection rolls for FHE treat.  Yummy and think will just make again for a easy treat that the kids can make on their own. Used crescent rolls. This is one that they can make completely on their own without my help. They like that.
Made bunny buns, idea from the friend magazine.  A tradition that i'm going to keep and make these every year.

Obviously got pictures of this activity, but this really shows what they looked liked. I'm not that talented in photography to know how to get this shot.
