Carmens 29 Birthday

Since it didn't work out for us all to go together to Tony Roma's the kids and I went for lunch to celebrate my birthday. It was lots of fun and the kids were well behaved. A super fun lunch date and the kids felt so special. Even the older couple across from us as they were leaving told me how cute the kids were and how well behaved they are. Gotta love hearing that! :)

Lovely iPhone pic. She was just happy and chattering the whole time and enjoyed eating some of my lunch.

And because we didn't have enough fun at Tony Roma's we headed over to the ice cream shop aka Marble slab and got my free ice cream cone. It works out perfectly the kids get half and I get half since you can choose two kinds and its still all free. 

The kids chose bubblegum ice cream with gummy bears. They absolutely love getting to pick their own and try a kind or two with those cute little spoons and then get to add a 'mix in' with it. They just love everything about it.

Especially the eating part!

To continue the celebration Jeff and I went out for dinner the next day to Firestone while mom and dad babysat the kids. I just love their steak sandwich with their yummy sides. It's one of my favourites which is why I chose to go there. They brought me my free dessert with a sparkler, but unfortunately I missed it because i was in the bathroom, so Jeff and Shanelle enjoyed it. Ha, our waiter felt so bad. 

Shanelle was as good as gold during dinner as always. She is such a good, smiling, happy baby!!!!!!! It's fun to take her with us, she's a mama's girl but I don't mind because we love having her with us always.

29 years old!

Putting Shanelle to sleep when we got home. Or maybe she put me to sleep :) Having a birthday is exhausting :)

My perfect omlet that Jeff made me for my birthday breakfast in bed.

I had a fabulous birthday, nothing big or elaborate, but felt very loved.

Really enjoyed our lunch date with the kids and I. Sure do love them!

Jeff made me breakfast in bed with the kids help too. He made a perfect omlet and it was fun to see the kids get excited and proud over doing breakfast in bed for me. Too cute.

Had lots of friends call me (even people I don't know very well too) and lots of birthday wishes. Always nice to be thought of on your birthday.

Mom and dad watched the kids (thank you!) while Jeff and I had an enjoyable time together for dinner. Love the kids and they were so good when I took them out for lunch, but it's sure nice to be with JUST Jeff (Shanelle was there with us, but she doesn't really count yet in that aspect - that totally didn't make sense but makes sense to me?) We had a good time together. I love Jeff so much. He makes me laugh, we have good chats, and I know that he loves me. He even made arrangements to not have to be at mutual so we could go out. I love Jeff, he's perfect for me.

My mom had us over for dinner for my birthday a couple of days after and that was nice, yummy and nice time together.

It's sure grand to be able to celebrate your birthday with those you love!
