Lemonade For Sale

Partaking of the goodies while waiting for more customers.

Some of the first customers....

Teamwork, Brynn pouring the lemonade, Jaycie getting ice into the cups and Mamie holding the next cup to fill.

One hot afternoon we had an impromtu lemonade stand.

So I whipped up some snickerdoodle cookies and baked them along with some chocolate chip cookie dough that I had already made and stuck in the freezer (I sometimes don’t cook all the dough, sometimes I scoop them into balls and then flash freeze them and stick them in freezer bags and cook them at a later date, or the kids eat them frozen. Both Jeff and Bryce have said they prefer the frozen to baked.) So we baked up the chocolate chip cookies and made snickerdoodles, stirred up some lemonade, put some ice in a bowl, made some quick signs, used the box from the new travel system that the kids have been playing with and viola, we had a lemonade stand.

It was a success! The kids had tons of fun. We didn’t charge much only 10cents for a cup of lemonade and 25cents for a cookie which made it more fun for everyone on the street since the kids had enough money to buy multiple cookies and multiple glasses.

I will tell you, it kept me running! Sometimes making two jugs at a time wasn’t enough, there were lots of trips back and forth into the house. I wish I would’ve had more time to make more cookies because we ran out (or just maybe make sure we have enough cookies for the sellers to have their share because the girls and Bryce enjoyed quite a few of them in between customers....but I let them because why not? :)
It was super fun, the kids loved it and can’t wait to do it again next summer! We will probably do it more than once too because it was such fun.
